My Godaif Village Experience
Prior to visiting Godaif village, I had seen their sponsored posts on Instagram and I was too eager to visit.
Godaif village is nestled in the heart of Ikoyi, basically inside Casa Asmarina. If you want to have the, ” I am outside Nigeria” feel, despite being in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Lagos, then Godaif village is the spot.
Godaif village offers both outdoor and indoor seating. My friend and I wanted to stay outdoors, but the heat was unbearable, so we migrated inside. The interiors are so cozy, very refreshing, and aesthetically pleasing. It’s ideal for breakfast/brunch/lunch dates. I sincerely don’t think a dinner date would work in this location.
FOOD and DRINKS at GODAIF VILLAGE
We arrived at around 2pm, and the English breakfast had ended. Apparently, like the name, it is served only for breakfast. I decided to try the ham and cheese bagel sandwich, with the green matcha latte (first green matcha latte I’ve had in Nigeria), while my friend had a Chapman only. The bagel sandwich was so good, properly toasted, and delicious. I was going to ask for seconds but CALORIES, however, I had to have another cup of green matcha latte as it was delicious.
SERVICE and PRICING:
The service was pretty decent, not sure I can remember anything remarkable, in fact, I think we were attended to by multiple waiters, but I didn’t consider it a problem. Pricing is reasonable as food averages between 3,500 to about 20,000NGN. For more information; check them out on instagram.
I’m a bit disappointed in myself because I just found this space, especially since it’s been in existence for quite a while. I rate this place a solid 4.5/5 and I will definitely visit again.
