I was craving Shawarma, so I decided to try out shawarma from 01 Shawarma at their Alausa branch. I had initially had some nasty experiences at the other branches but secretly hoped this would be better.

My 01 Shawarma, Alausa experience:

Locating 01 was pretty easy and there was hardly any customer. I placed an order for a mixed shawarma, that is Chicken and Beef and patiently waited. Tbh, in about 5 minutes, my shawarma was ready.

I should have expected it to taste funny because that was such a short time. Anyways, after the first bite, I realized what was wrong. It tasted terribly. I couldn’t even eat it and to crown it all, there was no Chicken inside. I was so upset. It was simply a waste of 1,300NGN, time, saliva, teeth and hope.

Overall experience:

This is goodbye to 01 shawarma. Absolutely nothing is taking me back there.

They’ve fallen off. Used to be pretty decent. Is it a franchise now, because some branches are worse than others?
