It was my annual medical student association dinner and I needed a banging dress. Now, if you follow my reviews, you may have noticed how difficult it is for me to find a dress that is my size and accentuates my figure. After much searching, I decided to get a custom dress made by 7th Avenue. I initially wanted to patronize Omorfi Culture, however she was very busy.

7th Avenue is a fashion line owned by Teju, a mobile fashion designer and a student in CMUL, UNILAG. Teju is very creative and has even worked with the likes of Toju Foye.

MY 7th AVENUE EXPERIENCE:

I contacted 7th Avenue (Teju) via Whatsapp 4 days to the event. I explained what I wanted and sent a picture. She asked me to come over to her room to get measured.

She informed me about the type of material I would be needing, the quantity and the price. My dress cost 6,000NGN inclusive of the material. I paid all on that day, however part payment is allowed with the balance paid on collection of the clothing item.

My dress was ready about 3 days later, but I was too busy to go for fittings. Instead, I tried my dress on the day of the event. There were no major adjustments so in about an hour my dress was ready.

WHAT I LIKED:

I didn’t have a color in mind, however, Teju sent me different shades that were amazing for my skin tone. She eventually helped me choose.
Everyone loved my dress and I was so impressed.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:

Teju is very busy especially with school and work, so you need to be patient and always be alert whenever she is around so that you can corner her.

OVERALL:

I rate 7th Avenue an 8/10. I absolutely loved the dress. Teju is very creative with the unique ability to recreate any design.
