I follow AccessoriesNg on Instagram, and I’d been seeing some of their ads but never actually paid any attention…until they advertised a promo – Buy any makeup product and get free glitter! I was too excited (awoof is my middle name lol) and quickly checked out their website.
AccessoriesNG sells makeup products (MAC, Wet and Wild, ELF, Sigma, etc.) and basically anything “accessories” related. Think sunglasses, necklaces, hair extensions, etc.
I scanned through their inventory and decided to purchase the ELF highlighter. I was having difficulties placing my order, so I contacted their Customer Care via BBM and was informed that the product was sold out. By the way, the Customer Care rep was super nice. She kept on referring to me as “darling”, and that warmed my heart, as I was in search of love at that moment lol.
I decided to get the ELF Makeup Lock and Seal which cost 1,000 Naira. I placed the order, signed up and selected the pay on delivery option..only to discover that delivery to my area, Yaba, cost 800 naira!!! That’s tooooo expensive!! I was tempted to call their Customer Care and ask which delivery service they were using, but eventually decided against it.
I placed my order on a Friday, and was told via BBM to expect my item on Monday. True to their word, Monday around 2pm my package was delivered. I counted the 1,800 naira, and trust me, paying 800 naira for delivery really hurt. I know, I’m Ijebu! But I paid sha, and got my package.
I would rate AccessoriesNG a 7 over 10. They have quality products which are very affordable, and they deliver on time. On the flip side, I think they need a better system to easily help customers identify “out-of-stock” items. They also need to do something about their exorbitant delivery rates!
I would definitely use their services again, but this time I would buy more items to justify delivery cost of 800 naira!
