I don’t think I remember how I got to know about BeautyRevolutionNG, but I know I kept on getting updates in my mail about them. One day, I got an update about the HD PRO Concealer. This product usually cost between 1k2 – 1k8 at other retailers, but was going for an amazing price of 1,000 naira on Beauty RevolutionNG. I decided it was time to check them out.
BeautyRevolutionNg sells a variety of authentic make up at considerably reasonable price. They carry brands like BH cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly, Ben Nye, ELF, Cover girl and so much more – when available… you’d soon see why!
I checked out their website, just to see if they had other items of interest to me, and they were basically “Sold Out”. At first, I took this to be a good sign – I mean people must really like their products, right? Well, my friend who is a regular customer of theirs and an avid online window shopper sharply informed me that BeautyRevolutionNg is always “Out of Stock”…not from excessive demand, but from failure to restock!
Anyway, I went ahead to order the PRO HD Concealer in ChestNut shade on a Thursday. I opted for the Pay on Delivery option, and as usual, delivery cost 500bucks. But for the “Sold Out” stamp that was all over the place, I thought the website design looked good.
After placing my order on Thursday, I expected a call from their customer care to confirm my purchase, but nothing came through. I waited patiently; expecting the call on Friday, still no call. On Saturday, I sent them an email, which they replied saying that I should follow them on Instagram if I wanted a quicker response. Imagine! Now, what if I don’t have an Instagram account? Did they think of that?
I chilled till Monday, and sent another detailed email explaining my predicament, and finally got a response saying that my order will be sent out the following day. I
skipped all my classes cleared my schedule for the day so that I’d be available to receive my order. For where?!?! No one came!
I didn’t think I was in the right state of mind to send them yet another email, so I just exercised some chill. I’m sure you all are wondering why I didn’t just call, right? There was no phone number on their website!! SMH!!!
My package finally arrived the following evening, when all hope was almost lost. I was so excited to recieve my Item and just give them their money. I eagerly ran downstairs to collect my “well packaged” item, only to find my item in a drugstore bag, with a cut out battered receipt! In addition, the delivery guy had initially given me someone else’s package, but I complained so he double checked and found mine. Had I been a
thief bad person now that’d have been another case!
I am enjoying my concealer at the moment, but I’m definitely heading to another store when it finishes (I even found the same product at Mama Tega recently for 1,000 naira). *doing my special dance*
I will rate BeautyRevolutionNg a 6 over 10, mostly because of their affordable prices. I’m sure we all know how they lost the remaining points. 🙂
