I was in dire need of a pedicure and wasn’t really looking to venture out of Lekki, so I made a few phone calls and did some research. I guess my diligence paid off because I was truly glad I checked out Dreams and Desires (or DD, for short, for the purpose of this review).

DD is located right off Admiralty (tantalizers road). I believe the second right on that street and in less than a mile, DD should be on your left (see pic below). In true ‘naija salon’ style, this salon doesn’t really have parking so I had to park on the street (which was fine actually).

I was welcomed by a staff who directed me to the left side of the salon (which is where the nail salon is..the right side is the hair salon).

The interior of DD is well decorated for a standard nail salon, complete with massaging chairs and shelves with adequate assortment of nail polish colors and brands. I felt like I’d walked into a nail salon in America!

Within a few minutes, a DD staff was already assisting me. I was offered a drink, but passed. A few minutes later, I was well on my way to getting a pedicure.

While working on my feet, the staff complimented my gel nail polish on my finger nails and asked if I’d have liked to get it filled. I appreciated the proactivity, but politely declined. There was one particular staff from the hair salon who was a little too friendly. She had stopped by the nail salon and complimented ‘my color’. Then she proceeded to sit next to me throughout my pedicure. At first we were talking about the cost of braids and home service but after that convo was over, she still sat in the chair next to be and tried to start other conversations. On a normal day, I’d have engaged in such, but not this day!

Except from that, throughout my time at DD the staff made me feel very comfortable. They engaged me in conversations and at some point, assisted me to buy credit.

Suffice to say, my pedicure went smoothly! No cuts, no injuries. The nail polish was applied meticulously and came out very neat. In fact, I took the pic below and sent to a good friend of mine. Her response? “see ya fine toes like small chops”..lol no kidding! I enjoyed the service so much that I got my mum a voucher to get a pedicure as well!

DD pedicure cost 3k3, which I think isn’t all that bad (see price list below).

DD also has a loyalty program. Upon 5 qualifying services, you receive a free signature pedicure! I definitely signed up for that…

Overall, I had a great experience at DD and would highly recommend this salon.

I have been a client since their days in VI, and I keep coming back for more! I don’t stay in Nigeria, but whenever I’m here, I’m sure to drop by there for a nice relaxing pamper. The staff are friendly, but still leave me be, and the salon services aren’t bad. I think they discontinued their royalty program though, which is a shame.

Thought the service was quite good. The lady who did my pedicure and hand service was friendly but not too chatty. My toes turned out quite well and lasted for quite a bit. I will say I was suckered into getting a paraffin pedicure that was no differnt from a regular pedi in my view but my fault for getting suckered. Prices were quite good as well

Dreams and Desires proudly owned and run by my friend! I didn’t think I would get anything substandard from here because the person who runs it has highstandards herself so she wld never offer anything less than that.i would highly recommend u to visit DD (borrowing from Efe) because the level of service is absolutely professional, courteous staff and excellent value for money.
