I’ve been going to Health Gate for a couple of years now and I’ve been impressed with their services. Health Gate is a well-being type establishment, so they offer varying services/amenities (think gym, beauty treatments, nail and hair salon, etc.) Health Gate is relatively easy to locate, and street parking is available for about 10 cars or more.
Health Gate is my go to salon for almost everything…washing, steaming, relaxing, fixing weaves, braids, mani, pedi, etc. I’ve also checked out their gym, which is pretty small but has most amenities you’d need (elliptical, treadmills, weights, etc.) I used to go to the gym pretty frequently until I fell off the fitfam bandwagon. The gym membership cost me about 20k per month. They have gym packages for 3, 6, or 12 months as well.
Most of the Health Gate services are pretty affordable in my opinion. For example, I got the braids pictured below done for #7000; two people worked on my hair and it took about 4 hours to complete it, AND it did not hurt one bit! I should also include that I had to buy 3 packs of expressions which cost about #1500. The cost of other services (e.g. washing fixing weave, etc.) ranges from 1k5 to 4k5.

There’s a standby generator at Health Gate for when PHCN decides to not be friendly…and they aren’t friendly most times…lol.
POS always works, but must be above 5k.
I can’t speak to all the other services Health Gate offers but I really like their salon. I rate their salon a 10/10 and would recommend any day and anytime.
PS – Their manicure and pedicure is really good and cost less than 5k! (great bargain) 😀
Thanks for the review, Ijem! Do you know if the salon offers crochet braids services?
