I recently suffered from conjunctivitis and needed to do something about the itching and redness of my eyes so I went scouting for Visine.
I had checked Bernados and my other go-to pharmacies but still couldn’t find Visine. I eventually decided to try out Health Plus (despite the discouragement from my friends because Health Plus is located in a mall. Mall location = prime real estate = higher item prices).
Health Plus is a large pharmacy and beauty store which sells all types of drugs (over the counter and prescribed drugs) and male/female beauty products. Health Plus has various branches all over Nigeria with their main branch being in Lekki, Lagos.
Health Plus is one of the conspicuous stores on the ground floor of Adeniran Ogunsaya Mall, Surulere. It’s almost difficult not to notice the pharmacy.

I was welcomed by a polite security guard and was attended to by a pharmacist. I’d enquired about Visine and they also didn’t have any. I was getting tired tbh and it seemed like I was never going to find Visine. I decided to ask the pharmacist for an alternative that could stop the itching and she prescribed Prednisolone Acetate. I liked how professional the pharmacist was and she was very polite.
The Prednisolone Acetate cost 530 Naira (which was very reasonable especially compared to other prices at other stores). I paid with cash although POS was available. I tendered 1,000 Naira and as usual, there was no change.
I was offered a loyalty card which gives about 4% discount and can be used at any Health Plus location. I was given a form to fill in my details as the loyalty card is non-transferable.

My experience at Health Plus was actually cool. I will rate them a 9 over 10 and this is because Visine was unavailable. I will definitely patronize Health Plus more (now that I have a loyalty card that gives me discounts). Please, who doesn’t like ‘AWOOF’ ? 🙂
Great review.Went to a HealthPlus for the first time yesterday and was impresed.I didn’t get the loyalty card though,as I don’t know how often I’ll shop with them and the Pharmacist didn’t seem know what brand of Aspirin was uncoated.
hmm, Joan, I can imagine. I visited another health plus branch in Port Harcourt mall and my experience was totally different. I will put it up on the group soon. Thanks for reading.
we anticipate your reviews soon.
