It was my friend’s boo’s birthday and she wanted to get him a present. I had suggested that she get him a gift from JUMIA or KONGA so that they could deliver it to his location as he doesn’t reside in Lagos.
Of course, my friend forgot and she had no other option than to hurriedly pick up something around the area.
She told me about a “Men’s Wear” Shop, and she had suggested that we check it out. I had been skeptical about the location and I was really not expectant.
Home of Mens Wear is an outlet dedicated to men’s fashion. They sell Items like Shirts, Shoes, Belts, Wristwatches and so on.
watches
We arrived and were met by a lady/sales attendant who had no clue of the item prices in the shop. She couldn’t even turn on the generator so it was really hot and difficult to see the items because everywhere was dark.
We had enquired about a Diesel Branded wristwatch, and the sales attendant had to place a call to the owner of the store. The owner arrived minutes later, turned on the generator, and attended to us. He was a very cool elderly man and we even had a discussion about the elections. I enquired about the prices of so many items in the shop and they were pretty affordable.

Mt friend had plans of getting her boo a wristwatch. Wristwatches range from 3,000 – 40,000 Naira. I was given the opportunity to select one and I went for a brown leather Piaget wristwatch which cost 3,500 Naira (I do understand that these are Nigerian/Swiss dupes).
The beautiful thing about the store is, prices are not fixed. We “priced” the wristwatch and we agreed on 3,350 Naira.
I will rate my experience at the outlet a 7 over 10. I feel a sales attendant should at least have an idea of store item prices and should be able to attend to customers in the absence of the store owner/management.
I don’t know if I will return to Home of Mens Wear, but I might give them a shot.
#thumbs up…cool
Mushin?? . I am surprised.
