In the spirit of full disclosure, I have not been to Ilase beach house before but the captivating picture and experiences of my friends compelled me to want to share this with you guys.
My friend had her birthday party at Ilase beach, and unfortunately, I couldn’t make it. Ilase beach is surrounded by several privately owned beach houses, some of which are for rent. Luckily, my friend didn’t have to rent a beach house (since she knew people who knew people)…
Speed boats convey passengers from different jetties (e.g. Victoria Island or Lekki phase1) to Ilashe. From what I’ve heard, these boats always have life jackets. My friends took a speedboat from Lekki phase1 to Ilase beach, and it took them about 25mins. Some of my friends confessed they were scared to death, and this reminded me of my horrifying experience getting stuck at sea on the way to Takwa Bay Beach (review coming soon).
The environment at the beach is so serene; clean and surrounded with beautiful palm trees and huts. The guest house my friend had her party at also had a swimming pool, with a clear view of the beach (see pics above).
Overall Ilase beach experience:
Ilase beach has not reached its full potential, especially in comparison to Elegushi and Oniru beach. I hope they’d explore the financial and tourism gain of this beach, but most especially create safety measures for its fun seekers.
Kindly relate your experience if you have been to Ilashe Beach. We’d love to know!
