It was my friend’s 21^st and she decided to have a garden party; the first ever garden party I’ve attended. The venue was Jeromes Garden and Suites in Ikeja. Jeromes is a natural garden/hotel/events center. Surprisingly, I’d never heard of Jeromes garden so I was pretty excited to check them out.

Anyways, on the D-day, we decided to use an Uber to get to the venue. It was pretty difficult to locate the place on the street because there was no signage or anything to identify the venue. The only good thing was that my friend had sent us the house number, otherwise we would have been lost.

PARKING:

Parking is not allowed inside the premises. I think the only car parked inside was the manager’s car, however street parking is available. We had to sign in to gain entrance for my friend’s birthday party, and the security men were very strict. There’s no cover to get into the space.

AMBIENCE:

The garden is where we hung out and was very pretty with really nice structures. The space is well lit and it’s nice for pictures. Tbh, the beautiful surrounding plus the bright lighting could make a good pre-wedding shoot venue. There’s also an indoor pool here.

My friend had rented a cabana so we had our own space. There was also an in house DJ who played really dead songs. He was a major mood killer but trust your girl, I became the DJ on our end.

We weren’t allowed to swim as no lifeguard was around and management wasn’t certain of our swimming abilities.

FOOD/DRINKS:

Jeromes garden offers food and drink services as well. We got their special stir fry noodles and small chops as appetizers and it was really nice. For our entrée, we had chips with the choice of chicken or fish. I had Chips and Chicken, and it tasted really good. Not the best I’ve had, but quite decent. We were allowed to bring in our drinks as well.

PRICING:

Rentals at Jeromes garden range from 50,000 Naira -150,000 Naira, which is the cost of the cabana.

OVERALL JEROMES GARDEN EXPERIENCE:

In conclusion, I had fun at the party. Not because of the venue, but my amazing friends. I rate Jerome’s a 7/10. The DJ was really dead and the songs were very irritating. We are blessed with bangers in this day and time, and he kept playing songs from 2004! I liked the food, and the portions were really decent. I was also impressed that they didn’t allow people swim without a lifeguard around, however, they should endeavor to ensure there’s actually a lifeguard present when people do want to swim!
