I’d never been to KFC in Nigeria, and honestly, would never have, if not for the love I have for you all and ReviewNaija :). While we are on that topic, please continue to send your reviews!! I was passing by KFC on Admiralty and noticed the drive-thru. I’d never used a drive-thru in Nigeria so I thought it’d be a good experience.

Parking – I didn’t have to park since I used the drive-thru, but parking situation here isn’t any different from most other fastfood joints (even restaurants) in Naija. There’s space for about 10 cars, maximum, I believe, so if the “lot” is full you’ll park on the street and cause traffic. Also doesn’t help that Chicken Republic is right next to this KFC location. I’d think finding parking during lunch time might prove a bit challenging.

Food – I wasn’t too excited about the menu (see below). Nothing tickled my fancy. I decided I’d get the 6 piece Zinger shrimps, which is supposed to come with spicy mayo. Got the shrimps alright, but they were out of spicy mayo. 🙁 Anyway, the shrimps were just there; waste of #850 if you ask me. Not sure what I expected but definitely didn’t meet my expectations.

Service – Service was surprisingly good. The drive-thru staff at the order & pick-up windows were courteous enough. They managed my expectations accordingly and let me know how long it’d take to get my order out. One thing though, they didn’t have change readily available, so I had to wait a little longer to get 50 naira. I’m not sure how this works but I’m noticing a trend in this naija where cashiers don’t have change and then ask to owe 40/50naira, for example. Sounds little, but this money adds up! Management, please find a way to ensure your cashiers have adequate change.

Overall – I think KFC on Admiralty is doing ok so far. I probably would not be going back, as this is not my kind of food, however I can definitely see how people would patronize this business.

KFC’S chicken is too oily, but you can try out Chicken Republic, its surprisingly good.
