I had spent 3 days in UNIPORT looking for Fries and Chicken stands on campus but to my dismay, I couldn’t find any. I had to beg my friends to take me out to anywhere I could satisfy my craving.
Apparently, the only place I could find Chicken and Chips in that environment was in a fast food restaurant and KILIMANJARO was the best option according to my friends.
Kilimanjaro is the go-to fast food joint in PH City and it reminds me a lot of Chicken Republic in Lagos. I mean, it is the same color and almost the same design. Kilimanjaro is quite easy to locate due to their large signage. There is also ample parking space for vehicles and street parking is not available.
The door was opened by a very polite security man and I was attended to by an enthusiastic sales rep.
Kilimanjaro has a wide choice of pastries and quite the array of Nigerian/Continental dishes ranging from pounded yam to beef burger. I had a mission to get chicken and chips and I wasn’t going to deviate from my original plan.
I ordered 2 cups of ice cream at 400 Naira each and a pack of chicken and chips for 1,600 Naira (that was way above my budget for craving o!) I was asked to wait for 15 minutes to prepare the chips and exactly 15 minutes later, the chips were ready. I also opted for take away because I was running late for some meetings.
ICE CREAM
Payment was with cash as the POS had some issues. I tendered 3000 Naira and was given my change quickly.
THE CHIPS and CHICKEN
I was really impressed. The chicken was really tender and well spiced while the chips, although small, were delicious and well fried.

I will rate Kilimanjaro a 7 over 10. I enjoyed the food, and the service was okay. But the quantity of food I received was too small in comparison to the price I paid.
Awesome would be looking forward to visiting the eatery when i finally go to PH. But a branch in Lagos wouldn’t be a bad idea.
Thanks Sandra.
Very nice write up. I agree the chips looks quite small.
