So let me first say that this is not a review of Meridian Cardiac Clinic from a patient’s perspective. I was granted the opportunity to participate in an externship at Meridian and thought it’d be good to share my experience. I’d love to hear from folks who have been patients at this establishment so feel free to use the comments box below to share your thoughts!
Meridian Cardiac Clinic is situated in the heart of Festac town and very easy to find as there is obvious signage although quite small. It is a “Cardiac” clinic hence it is dedicated to treating heart related problems, although some other minor health cases are handled here.
The clinic is quite big and beautiful and is divided into several stations. There is the Treatment Room, where blood samples are taken and injections are given, the Pharmacy, where drugs are sold, the Cardiac Lab, where ECHO’s and ECG’S are taken as well as where general examination is performed by the consultant on the patient. There are also male and female Wards for patients that require monitoring.

In my experience, the doctors are very attentive and are very eager to listen to the patient’s complaints as well as provide some form of relieve. The nurses and other staff are very polite and courteous. I mean, they radiate happiness.
Consulting days are Mondays – Thursdays (6pm – 10PM) and Saturdays (10am – 9pm) but on Wednesdays, a dietitian is available to revamp your diet and provide healthy substitutes that promote a healthy weight loss process (majority of cardiac cases seen require some form of change in diet to promote a healthy lifestyle.)
Consultation fee is 5,000 naira while for first timers, Consultation + Registration cost 10,000 naira. In my opinion, this is very affordable especially compared to the wonderful service the patient gets.
I am so glad I had this experience! I saw so many rare cases and interacted with a lot of patients. Tbh, I honestly learnt quite a lot, not only in medicine, but the art of establishing good rapport with patients.
well, I’ve been there and I must say its amazing. standard facilities, clean and comfortable with great staff headed by one of the best cardiologists I know.
Yes! Dr Amadi is renowned! I mean, he is the second nigerian distinction candidate from imperial college, London
Now this is interesting, an established private centre allowing externships – that’s really nice!
