I was involved in a very terrible accident which led to my foot being sprained. Alright, I’m ashamed to say this, but I fell while running, and after the sprain, with the pain and all, I felt I could handle it. By the time I got back to my dorm, my feet were swollen so I added hot gel and hot water to the affected areas. Please don’t laugh at my ignorance. *covers face in shame*
The next day, I couldn’t walk properly! Sigh. I knew I was in for it. I had a paper in the morning, so I had to limp the whole distance to my class. Now, if I were lighter in size, and maybe, if there was a boo, things would have been…. Anyway, I digress.
To make matters worse, the next day was my friends birthday party, and I had promised to go. And how dare I attend a friends party and not dance? Sigh. Too much wahala on top sprained foot. I finally decided to head over to the physiotherapist and had to look for someone to attend to me.
I was so lucky to meet Dr Ola and I didn’t have to talk too much, apparently my condition was quite obvious. He took me into a cubicle, and examined my foot. He got a compressed ice pack and placed it on my foot for about 10 minutes, and within the stipulated time, we were chatting, he kept on asking questions, about my foot, school and all sorts. He was super professional and knew his stuff. I was so impressed! And the icing on the cake, he was Hand..some!!!!
At the end of the 10 minutes, he was going to add some cold gel, but trust LUTH to be out of stock. So he prescribed Volatren Gel to help with the pain and inflammation. I applied the medication as instructed and it worked like charm. I even attended the party (not limping of course) and danced!! I did go back for a check up though, just to see Dr Ola, LOL, but he was super courteous.
By the way, I didn’t pay for the service, because I am a student, but I’m sure the prices are quite reasonable. I understand others might have had varying experiences visiting this department and I’d love to hear your experiences…feel free to use the comments box below to add a review! Thanks you!! :*
