01-01-15 – A new year, and what better way to start your food journey in 2015 than by eating properly?
Anyway, my in-laws and I decided to eat at one of the highly recommended restaurants in GRA, Ikeja. The venue? Primal Hotel…
I’ll go straight to the point in this review, then conclude on with my final thoughts.
Restaurant style: Buffet – Ends 2:30pm
Ambiance: Very warm and cosy
Price: 2900/person (minus drinks)
I opted for chicken pepper soup as my starter. Looking at my pic, I’m sure you can tell I had a lot of meat and less soup. It was delicious! 🙂
And then, we were each offered a complimentary glass of white wine…
Side Note: Staff Management needs to invest in deodorants for staff members. Phew!
My second round I got rice, chicken and some other stuff….take a look. Doesn’t look too great but it was delicious….
And final round, I had to do vegetable soup and pounded yam (don’t judge me, I came prepared) lol
No dessert to complete my meal. Not like I didn’t want to have some, but they’d run out of dessert. I guess that’s what you get for a cheap buffet in Lagos: eat quick, eat fast or lose out.
To conclude, Primal Hotel buffet was an okay experience. The buffet had no variety…just the norm in Naija (rice, chicken, beef, poundo and native soup). I enjoyed myself mainly because I was hungry, but after my first dish I was pretty much done.
Visit Primal Hotel if you want to dine on a budget. It’s good value for money but I won’t be returning.
Happy New Year Folks!
