My Radisson Blu experience.
My friend was visiting from PH so we decided to book four nights at the Radisson Blu in Victoria Island. We got a room with a good view of the pool, which was cool. We could literally see the bar/lounge area from our window! The room cost about 400usd/night (approximately 80k/night with 1USD = #199 exchange rate) and was very nice and clean. The bedding was very comfortable. Fortunately for us, on day 2 Flavor/Naetoc were shooting a music video by the poolside. Flavor was shirtless, so my best friend and I simply feasted our eyes..lol.
One thing I enjoyed about Radisson Blu was their breakfast. This was my second time having breakfast at Radisson and as usual, they did not disappoint me. My favorite part about the breakfast was the omelette, which the chef prepares in front of you. Breakfast is buffet style consisting of everything breakfast friendly including fruits and desserts. I also liked that their breakfast was vegetarian friendly since I do not eat meat.
We also made use of their gym which was well equipped.
The fun part about staying at Radisson is that most Lagosians go there for drinks and happy hour. So you won’t have to leave your hotel to enjoy a fun Friday night, as the hotel is already a hot spot. There is usually a live band playing some kind of African jazz music… And how can I forget that scenery? While enjoying drinks you can also appreciate the beautiful ocean view Lagos has to offer. As for drinks, we just had the waiter choose his favorite drink from the menu….I cannot remember the name but the drink was pretty good.
I guess the only downside to this hotel was that the carpet outside our room had a musty unpleasant odor.
Out of 10, I rate my overall experience at Radisson Blu an 8. I will definitely recommend lodging at Radisson.
It’s was an awesome experience when I stayed at the Radissons. The bed was super comfy and the room service was fantastic. Been here for drinks a few times. Honestly wish they had shisha. Seeing I love it so much. It will be nice to smoke it with a nice ocean view, but overall I’ll rate it a 10
I stayed at Radisson over new year’s and I like the rooms, particularly their suites. I enjoyed the breakfast a lot, and their room service was very good as well. The only thing I will say is we almost bought their deal for new years eve, which was supposed to be a buffet dinner, party with hats and champagne and was ridiculously expensive. Fortunately, we decided against it and decided to just get dinner instead. The hats and champagne didn’t come until way after midnight, and buffet looked sad. The fireworks were great though. So don’t pay for their new years deal, aside from that, we had a great time
It’s been a while since I visted Radisson on Ozumba…My friend was having a get together and had booked a suite which was super gorgeous!! I also remember the service at the bar area being really slow but that was a couple years back. Sounds like they’ve improved….
