I recently heard about Taos cosmetics via instagram. Apparently, they are every girl’s go to makeup brand right now as they claim to be a fun, fresh and sassy beauty brand.

I noticed that everyone was in love with their new liquid velvetines and after extensive research and plenty reviews, I decided to purchase mine.

I quickly hopped on the Taos cosmetics website to place my order as the velvetines cost 2,700 NGN each. Apparently, the velvetines are also available on other retail websites like beauty kink, beauty rev ng and cost the same as on the Taos website (however on yanga beauty, the same velvetine is slightly more expensive.)

I placed an order, filled in my billing and shipping details and opted for pay on delivery. Basically, they promised 2-3 days shipping for 750 NGN and I was pretty excited to get my Jozi liquid velvetine.

I was sent a confirmatory email and a tracker to monitor my item. 4 days later, an attendant from Taos cosmetics called to confirm my availability. She didn’t sound friendly nor rude, just plain like she wasn’t enjoying her job.

Anyways, the dispatch rider arrived and as usual, no POS. My bill was 3,450 NGN, but I tendered 3,500 NGN. Apparently, he didn’t have 50 NGN so I had to leave it as a tip.

I totally love my liquid velvetine in Jozi shade. All the reviews I had read earlier were spot on. It is every girls dream especially since it’s so affordable.

I rate Taos a 7/10. The packaging was small and really cute. In as much as I loved my item, I was upset about having to leave my change as tip. Taos, please invest in a POS, and above all, get a pleasant speaking customer care attendant.
