After the amazing time we’d had at Cocoon Lagos (one of my favorite bars in Lagos!), we decided to head over to Zenbah which is right below Sip . I’ve never been a fan of struggled outings and that’s what an evening at Sip is for me, so I was a bit hesitant to check out Zenbah.
Zenbah is a lounge/cocktail bar. A+ for ambience. They’ve got outdoor seating as well that almost resembles the outdoor space at Sao Cafe . Folks can smoke inside the indoor space so you’d definitely leave smelling like cigarettes. The music was decent but nothing exciting (might be because I visited on a Sunday?)
Since we’d just come over from Cocoon I wasn’t hungry or thirsty but for review purposes, I ordered the Tiki Puka Puka (cost 4000 ngn)…and it was a letdown. Way too watered down especially as I’d just had the potent face-off cocktail at Cocoon. Service here was good though.
My bill came up to 4400 ngn, which included VAT 200 ngn and LSC tax 200 ngn. Maybe I haven’t noticed in the past but this was my first time seeing LSC tax on a receipt. So in reality, the cocktail cost 4400 ngn and was not worth it at all.
Zenbah is a nice chill spot. I hear it’s the place to be on Thursday evenings. I envision it being an overflow space for Sip this holiday season so I personally would stay away. But if you go out because of the crowds and you’re about the struggled outing life, then this is the place to be!
PS – Zenbah is pretty much open till the last customer leaves.
Zenbah to be honest I love the outdoor space drinks are just alright. I heard its lit on Thursdays so I would check it on Thursday. Overall Zenbah is a chilled spot !
